What was gta san andreas based on
They have been developing GTA games for years now and their mods have been open to public use all this time. So when does Take-Two recognize their existence and decide that they are just bad people warranting lawsuits? How convenient! They had sued a modder before, but that was for the GTA Online. But suing people who are modding offline, story-driven games? Suing people who make your games better for literally zero dollars? It's not a match, however. The real-life examples inspire some pieces of architecture, but they're made in a way to match GTA San Andreas's setting.
Both take place in a similar location in and revolved around an injustice involving the police. Many of the features associated with the Los Santos Riots are similar to the real-life actions of the Los Angeles Riots. The burning buildings and hostile NPCs are some prime examples. It's not a true event per se, so it's another example of how fictionalized GTA San Andreas is at times.
Eventually, the Grove Street Families become more powerful, and the players know the rest of the story. Everything that happens in GTA San Andreas from start to finish is too specific to be based on a singular true story.
Gang wars and territory are introduced during the mission " Doberman ". After the mission " The Green Sabre ", CJ no longer has the ability to win new territory, or defend his own. This feature returns during the mission " Home Coming ", in the Final Missions strand.
By default, gang territories to take over are only available for player in Los Santos. By performing the Territory Glitch , player can unlock additional territories to take over.
CJ can recruit other members of his gang. The number of gang members he can recruit is based on CJ's respect level, with the game-wide maximum number being seven. There's also a limited number of seats in a vehicle. A typical car can carry two to four people, whereas a coach or bus can hold all seven members.
While homies are recruited, the player can get them to follow or stay put. CJ's homies will return fire to those who attack him, and shoot at rival gang members and cops. They will also participate in drive-by shootings, just like Sweet, Smoke, and Ryder demonstrate in the mission " Drive-By ". Homies aren't very reliable, but they can draw fire away from CJ. CJ can also take a picture of himself with his homies.
Aiming a camera at them will make them flash their gang signs. Many aspects were taken from this movie such as Los Santos being based on Los Angeles during the movie, plus Grove Street itself is a reference to the film. Also some of the lines in the game were taken from the movie. Furthermore the green Sabre drive by shooting , the trigger of the game storyline, is inspired by the final scene of the movie. One of your gang members with the green flannel shirt and the braids resembles O-Dog played by Larenz Tate , one of the main characters from the film.
The C. Many of the missions in the game are influenced by scenes from the film. Jizzy B. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is also inspired by real-life events that occurred in the game's real-world counterpart Los Angeles in the s such as the Los Angeles riots , Rampart scandal , and Crack epidemic.
Although it is not explicitly stated when in the game takes place, it can be inferred to be around early to mid-spring, most likely April. Sunlight lasts around 13 hours, which in real-life California corresponds to around mid-April or late August. There are only a few missions in Flint County throughout the game which mostly involve racing through it. Magnificient view of Whetstone featuring the most popular landmark of the area, Mount Chiliad. Whetstone is located in the southwest corner of San Andreas, just south of San Fierro.
The county is home to Mount Chiliad, the tallest mountain in the state at a half-mile m in height. Angel Pine is a logging town in Whetstone, located on the foot of Mount Chiliad. It notably contains a hospital Angel Pine Medical Center from which Paramedic missions can be performed. It also contains a sheriff's office , a sawmill , an Ammu-Nation and a trailer park. A hearse may also be found parked near the hospital. Bayside is a waterfront town located on the western tip of Tierra Robada, just north across the bay from San Fierro.
The sole access point to the town is directly linked to San Fierro via the Gant Bridge. The town contains two notable features: First, its boat school , where Carl can obtain his boating licence; second, the town has a helipad, usually with a helicopter present, useful for traveling.
It is a common rest stop for people traveling from San Fierro to Las Venturas. The presence of the Bayside Marina and its proximity to the Gant Bridge suggests that the town is based on Sausalito , California, and Tiburon , California, before their upscale development, which is almost geographically similar to Bayside, in addition to having one of its access points connected directly to the Golden Gate Bridge.
El Quebrados is home to a sheriff's department , a medical centre El Quebrados Medical Center , and a safehouse. The town is located east of Bayside. The name El Quebrados , which is an improper mix of singular and plural Spanish, translates roughly to "The Bankrupt," or "The Broken".
Las Barrancas is located within viewing range of the Sherman Dam , and is also located just beside a cliffside ruin. This town is likely based on Moab , Utah. Aldea Malvada is a ghost town located in Tierra Robada overlooking El Quebrados on the outskirts of town. It literally translates into English as "Evil Village". Bone County , most likely based on Nye , Esmeralda , and Mineral counties in Nevada, is one of the most important areas of the game, other than the major cities themselves, containing many areas and missions needed for continuation; a large amount of Easter Eggs are also located within it.
The county's two most prominent features include a secret military base named " Area 69 " based on Area 51 located at its centre, as well as the Verdant Meadows Aircraft Graveyard, directly north of Area Bone County boasts an oil field Octane Springs , a quarry , and several unique natural features such as mesas.
Las Venturas is located to its east, and Red County to its south. The county as a whole is obviously based on rural portions for the American state of Nevada, because it has a similar climate, terrain and topography. A Dinghy raft and a Sea Sparrow can be found docked on both sides of the reservoir. Also, a Skimmer can be found just north of the dam, right at the part where the river based on the Colorado River splits. Area 69 is a restricted military base, modeled after Area 51 and named for the 69 sex position.
The base houses various clandestine government projects, including the " Black Project " jetpack. Much of the base consists of underground research labs, although the player can only enter the labs during the course of one mission, or by finding a way into San Andreas' " Blue Hell ", an area under the main terrain mesh, and finding the underground base there.
The aboveground structures include a series of control towers, guard posts, and garages for military vehicles. These garages are the first area in the game in which tanks and military helicopters will automatically spawn.
The player automatically receives a five-star wanted level for entering, attempting to enter, or flying over the base at a low altitude ; surface-to-air missiles will be fired at the player from the base if he attempts to fly over.
